The location is excellent - I walked to Circular Quay along Pitt St with all the shops. I got the train from the airport and got off at Museum. The hotel is a very short walk away from the station along a level, well paved street (important for pulling a suitcase). The hotel offers really excellent value for money. I booked a superior room (not the basic one as other reviewers said the basic rooms needed upgrading). My room had been refurbished. It was not luxurious but it was clean and comfortable with all the amenities I needed. There is no restaurant but it's easy to find somewhere nearby for breakfast. If you are travelling on a budget and want a place to stay in the centre of Sydney, I think this is a good choice. I'd certainly go back if I travelled to Sydney again.

Staff was very helpful, listen to your concern. I request for upgrade on arrival, as I did not not know that the standard would be so small. I finally got my upgrade on the 3rd day. However the aircon on the upgraded room was making a loud noisy like the washing machine the whole night and water dripping the whole night. My husband did not get any sleep the whole night. He finally switch off the the aircon at 7 am, and manage to get a few hours of sleep, being a light sleeper. We expressed this matter to the staff, and the sender a maintenance staff to look into it and they fixed it. Thanks to Mohammed, the staff at the reception and the maintenance staff for looking into the matter promptly.

Great location. Town Hall train station directly across the road, and light rail one block away, only 3 /4 stops to Circular Quay. Also, near the Light Rail stop, a co-joined Woollies and Big W store. Was excellent when we found more of Woollies downstairs, including some hot finger food and such. Won't bother looking further next time I need to visit Sydney...will just book here. Travelled with my 2 youngest grandchildren, aged 7 and 8 years, and 2 beds, one queen and one single...although smallish, enough room for us. Rooftop pool, although we didn't use.. but great seating area up there for nice views of the city lights.

Perfect location for a visitor using public transport. View from the rooftop pool was amazing. Better than either of these was the staff, who were super helpful and went out of their way to ensure I had a great stay. The hotel was decorated with fun, quirky features that were a delight. Extra bonus, compared to my last stay in the CBD, the Regis provided a far superior room for a better price. Definitely happy with this choice for my trip.

The hotel is right in the center of the city, and it takes only a few minutes to reach Sydney's Eye, Martin's Place, George Street, Tawn Hall, or St James train station. Although centrally located, it is quiet, and I had a good night's sleep there. The reception staff is very kind and efficient. I once locked myself out of the room, and they were very kind to give me a new key. The AC worked well.
